Review: Mugoh Mat Helps Dogs Dry Their Own Feet!

Super Cool Pets received this innovative Mugoh Mat for review. It is designed to quickly absorb water from dog's feet (not human feet) and eliminate the mess of wet paw tracks on the floor. These Mugoh Mats are all hand crafted in Oregon and are made of soft, super absorbent 2-ply paper for the ruffles and burlap (jute) for the backing. The soft paper has the same absorbency as the best paper towels or tissue and sucks up water from paws on contact.

To get "the most" out of the Mugoh mat, we first picked the ideal location for the mat, where our dogs come in from outside and first walk in the house. Then we familiarized our pets with the mat (they didn't even notice it). Finally, important, we set aside the mat when not in use, or when dry outdoors, to prolong its lifetime.
Coincidentally, or through some voodoo power of the mat, it rained early the next morning just before dawn so we could try it out. Once Molly recovered from the trauma of yet another thunderstorm, we were able to let our Golden Retrievers out after breakfast to get their feet wet. Instead of wiping down their paws, we placed the mat vertically from the entrance and let them walk in on that. It worked great. No mud, no paw prints or dirt. The mat is absorbent and soft on the feet, unlike the standard coir mat.
.
After being wet, the Mugoh Mat will normally dry in a couple of hours. The Mat is disposable and recyclable. For optimal effectiveness it should be replaced when it becomes frayed or matted. The mat will last for several weeks or longer under normal use from one dog. It is an attractive neutral beige color and 100% biodegradable.
Equip yourself with a couple of Mugoh Mats and place them together to increase the area your pet can walk on, by the front door, mudroom or under your pet door. Size is 24in x 38in.
