Keep Your Pets Safe in a Storm -- Checklist and Tips

After Tropical Storm Fay we posted on Preparing for Natural Disasters. Living in households with pets and children, we bear the scars from Hurricanes Bob, Gloria, Frances, Jeanne, Wilma and recently, the even-worse-in-terms-of-flooding Tropical Storm Fay.

With more storms currently on the way, and winter down the road, no matter where you call home, we cannot emphasize enough the importance of advance preparation and self-reliance. You will be on your own, at least for awhile.
