New iPhone and iPod Application for Pet Owners -- FilaPet

FilaPet ('file a pet') is a new iPhone / iPod Touch application created and developed by Luke Feldman in consultation with veterinarians. This easy-to-use app provides pet owners with a filing system for all their pet's needs.

The staff here at SCP gives this app the thumbs up. FilaPet highlights:

• Pet I.D. - record date of birth, microchip number, rabies tag numbers
• Contacts - store important info for. vet, pet sitter, groomer, boarding facilities
• Medical Info - record medical information - heartworm, flea/tick, vaccinations (C5, F4 etc), blood tests (heartworm, Lyme)
• Medical History - track all pet information
• Automatic Reminders - Birthdays, medication, vaccinations, check ups
• Monthly Treatment Reminders - automatically calculated
• Home monitoring - Track weight, symptoms, behavior
• Email your vet - send requests for repeat medication prescriptions (refills), send the medical history to a new vet or vaccination history to boarding facilities
• Latest Pet News - from a vet via RSS. FilaPet on the web is an educational site run by veterinarians.
