About Dog Harnesses -- 5 Different Designs

Muttropolis has sent us an helpful visual tutorial on Dog Harnesses.
On the rare occasion we require a restraint on our own Golden Retrievers, we use a leash. Yesterday at the vet's office, we started to rethink this strategy. It is so hard on the dog's neck, as they pull when they are anxious, and a slipped collar is always a risk.
The dog folks at Muttropolis.com
recommend that your harness fits comfortably around your pet's body, allowing him/her to move about freely. Of course it should still be snug enough so your dog can't slip out of it--once the harness is on, take a moment to adjust it properly. Consult the following diagrams for specific harness design features and choose the one that's right for you.
