Super Cool Pet Book -- Amazon Hot New Release -- Making Rounds with Oscar the Cat

You may have heard the story of Oscar the cat, the somewhat aloof resident at a nursing home who only spent time with people who were close to death. This fascinating story is told by David Dosa in Making Rounds with Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat released today.

No one knows how he does it, but Oscar somehow perceives who is dying, and stays with the patient until the patient passes. He was known to sit outside a closed door until admitted, and would refuse to leave a dying patient's bed. The author, a doctor at the nursing home, was initially skeptical and actually was not even particularly fond of cats. Interesting read.
