We often buy our pets age-specific food in accordance with package labeling. Most of us accept the conventional wisdom that senior dogs have different nutritional requirements as they age.

Furthermore dogs, like people, have individual dietary needs. Not all older dogs require a senior diet. Because these pet foods targeting seniors are not all the same, you will want to feed your senior pet a diet that is right for your specific animal.
