Many moons ago, I was painting a bedroom and took off my engagement ring to keep it safe. I placed it on the bedside table where my ever-ravenous English Setter promptly scoffed it up. I did get it back, but will spare you the details.
This week we have been painting some more, and I removed 4 rings this time. While that particular crazy dog is sadly no longer around, these Cat Ring Holders

Perhaps your dog is underfoot during meal-time, pushing his/her food bowl around the room and and slopping food and water on the floor around the bowl. This hack can solve that problem.
Take a cheap $8 IKEA Lack Side Table to house your dog's food and water bowls and make sure they stay in one place. Measure the cuts in the top for your bowls, then use a Dremel to cut the holes so that the bowls can be easily placed in and out of the table.
One caveat to keep in mind--raised food bowls may contribute to the serious condition of bloat, or gastric dilation.

As with humans, survival expenses such as food and health/vet costs accounted for about 65 percent of the pet budget. The service category--grooming, boarding, pet hotels, pet-sitting and day care--grew more than any other, rising 7.9 percent from $3.51 billion in 2010 to $3.79 billion in 2011.
