CoyoteVest Pet Body Armor Protects Smaller Dogs Against Predators

Bullies aren't just for humans--happens in the dog world, too. Big dogs pick on little dogs, hawks swoop down from the sky and coyotes kidnap small dogs.

That's what happened to a San Diego couple whose beloved Buffy was snatched up by a coyote. They put their grief to work in a positive way and created the CoyoteVest pet body amour. From the site:

CoyoteVest body armor (patent pending) is designed to protect small animals if they are attacked or bitten by a larger dog or coyote. It works by offering multiple levels of protection.

First, the large spiked collar area will prevent neck bikes and deadly shaking. Second, the vest is made of stab-resistant Kevlar® that was originally developed by the U.S. Government for prison guard uniforms.

The sides of the vest are double laminated to prevent even the sharpest canine teeth from puncturing the vest in the primary bite zone.

According to the site, the CoyoteVest keeps the pet's chest open and cool, is not uncomfortable and allows the pet freedom to run and play. Collars are available as well.
