Ricki Widlak developed a love of animals growing up on a farm back in the days when pets were allowed to roam free. Once Ricki established her own household, it quickly filled up with children, dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, birds and turtles. She writes from the viewpoint of a pet owner with the heart of a pet lover. She shares her home in Florida with her husband John, their twin Golden Retriever girls--Jessie and Molly; three cockatiels--Java, Maui and Tiki; and still misses the late Frank the cat. Ricki and John have four grown children, four grandchildren and three grand-kitties--Fat Tony, Ariel, and Ziggy. They love to swim at the beach with their dogs. Ricki is always on the lookout for items to keep pets safe, happy and healthy, whether at home, outdoors or on the road.
