with 5x optical zoom and 3.5-Inch touch-screen LCD. For pet lovers, the FinePix Z700EXR comes equipped with Fujifilm's brand new Pet Detection technology, with the ability to detect up to 10 faces of dogs or cats and automatically optimize the focus. The camera is programmed to recognize 80% of the top 20 dogs in the American Kennel Club (AKC) ranking and 60% of The Cat Fancier's Association (CFA) breeds.
Of course, the camera has face recognition technology for human faces too. Review: Carpet CPR Pet Stain and Odor Remover

We treated a stain (so many spots, so little time), let it soak in and cleaned it up with a neutral cloth. The dirt was absorbed and removed, leaving a clean fresh smell.

Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair -- Don't Toss, May Be Reusable
Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair
is a nifty little product for picking up rampant shed fur, so we don't have to waste precious time vacuuming the furniture.
However, the manufacturer's instructions are to toss when through--wasteful and needlessly expensive. The hair collection container is held in place with pins, making it difficult to remove. Over at Consumerist a reader Jim came up with a solution:
Paying no heed to the package's warnings to "not try to empty or disassemble disposable sweeper", Jim found that, "if you hold the sweeper vertically and apply gentle, but firm, pressure to one of the rollers, it will pop out of its holder. You can then empty the catcher, carefully replace the roller and the sweeper will work like new!"
