"Found My Animal" Leash and Collar Celebrates and Supports Adopted Pets

foundmyanimal.jpg

These attractive "Found My Animal" Leashes and Collarsicon celebrate and support the worthy cause of pet adoption. Twenty-five percent of the vendor's profits go directly to the Louis Animal Foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to spaying/neutering and providing loving homes for animals.

The 100% cotton canvas collars are treated with animal-safe wax for waterproofing and added durability. In Small, Medium and Large sizes.

The rugged, old-fashioned rope leashes are custom-made by New England professionals, using no leather or animal-based materials. The rope can be held, looped around your waist or over your shoulder to free up your hands. The marine-grade solid brass o-rings and solid bronze clips make the leash easily adjustable and allow you to secure it to a fence or tree.

Each leash comes with an individually numbered, stamped brass decorative tag that is specific to your pet and indicates how many other dogs have been helped before your own.

Molly Mutt Launches Molly Mutt Clean, All-Natural Dog Care Products

MollyMuttClean.jpg

You may remember Molly Mutt dog duvets, which we have blogged about in the past. The company has just launched Molly Mutt Clean a line of all-natural dog care products made with essential oils in California and free of sulfate, paraben, artificial color and synthetic fragrance:

  • Molly Mutt Fresh Dog Bed Freshener removes odors and adds a fresh bedding scent. Perfect for busy pet owners when you don't have time to wash and replace your Molly Mutt duvet.
  • Molly Mutt Wash Dog Shampoo safely cleans your dog's coat without drying skin. Rosemary and peppermint leave a fresh clean scent, and the essential oils are naturally anti-bacterial.
  • Molly Mutt Soft Dog Coat Conditioner detangles and conditions your dog's coat for a healthy looking shine and soothed skin and also uses rosemary and peppermint essential oils.

Amazon Hot New Pet Book Release -- Pukka: The Pup After Merle

pukka.jpg

You may remember Ted Kerasote, the author of the best-selling and most enjoyable book Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog. The long-awaited follow-up Pukka: The Pup After Merle is now scheduled for release. The narrative on the author's web-site describes it best:

In 2009 I met Pukka, the pup who won my heart after Merle. This is his story, told in his words and accompanied by about 200 photos that I and others took. Though it's uniquely Pukka's story, it also recounts how puppies grow and learn and become dogs.

Pukka: The Pup After Merle is told in Pukka's voice and is chock full of gorgeous photos of America's West. The book is scheduled for release this fall and is available now for pre-order.

PooBoss K9 Utility Vest -- Let Your Dog Carry the Poo

pooboss.jpg

One of the downsides to walkies is carrying the poo bag, for obvious reasons. Solution -- since most doggies just love their poo, put a PooBoss K9 Utility Vest on your dog to carry his/her own poo bag.

The vest also has a separate utility pocket for reward treats, wet wipes, your cell phone, keys--those extra items you juggle while still trying to control your dog.

This vest can be used with your dog's own collar or harness and has wide reflective strips to keep you both safe and visible. It comes with convenient Velcro closure, quick-release buckles and adjustable straps. Choose from four sizes, six colors and two different linings, lightweight and the heavier quilted.

Book Giveaway -- Bad to the Bone: Memoir of a Rebel Doggie Blogger by Bo Hoefinger

badtobone.jpg

We were recently sent a free copy of Bad to the Bone: Memoir of a Rebel Doggie Blogger which has received five star reviews. The book is written by Bo Hoefinger, a mixed-breed shelter dog who also writes Dogster.com's "For the Love of Dog" blog. The cover blurb describes it best:

Let's get this clear right away: I'm a dog. I'm 1'10" and weigh 63 lbs, and although I'm a mutt on the outside, I'm a purebred on the inside. My good nature comes from the Golden Retriever side of the family, while my stubbornness is clearly from my Chowchow bloodlines. I've got Rastafarian ears, a black tongue for licking, and paws that should be on a dog twice my size.

I type 60 words a minute.

My name is Bo, and this is my story.

From shelter dog reject to beloved pet and popular doggie blogger, Bo Hoefinger's life has been anything but ordinary. Join this incorrigible canine as he welcomes us into his life, complete with his wacky "parents," a constipated feline housemate, and chipmunk warfare.

And here's a short clip of Bo taking his canine good citizen test:

Bo's book is dedicated to "all the shelter workers, rescue groups and animal welfare proponents who make this world a better place, one animal at a time. You are unsung heroes and a true inspiration." Bo generously donates 10% of his proceeds to help homeless dogs as well as cats.

We are giving away one copy of Bad to the Bone: Memoir of a Rebel Doggie Blogger. To receive it, please email us: news@supercoolpets.com -- first come, first serve!
