One of the few downsides to falling in love with your pet is their relatively short life span. In an effort to attain the unattainable, people are looking to clone their pets and keep them "alive".
Best Friends Again is holding cloning auctions this July for 5 cloning spots. Registration took place in May and cloning spots start @ $100, 000 and work up in increments.
The Best Friends Again program, sponsored by BioArts International, is a limited commercial dog cloning program. BioArts is the only entity in the world with both the know-how and the legal right to practice commercial dog and cat cloning. We are auctioning off 5 dog cloning service slots to the general public. We may or may not perform any additional commercial dog cloning services after this auction.
As many people are aware, dogs are arguably the most difficult mammal to clone. Due to the challenges unique to dog cloning, we can only offer a limited number of dog cloning service slots. With a very limited supply and a very large demand for this service, we have decided that an online auction is the fairest way to offer this special opportunity to the public.

Cloning is the process of creating a new animal that is a genetic duplicate of a pre-existing animal. One way of thinking of a clone is that it is a later-born identical twin. Clones tend to resemble the originals (also called donors) to a great physical degree. Strong behavioral similarities between clones and donors have also been reported in some species, including both cat and dog.

Wouldn't it be great to throw away the pet shampoo and wash your pet with jets of water only? IDEC Corp will release a micro-bubble generator for a dog bath this Friday June 20. The system washes dogs with streams of bubble-filled water instead of shampoo. No more suds!
Called "Wan love yu" which means "Dogs love warm water", the jaccuzzi's tiny bubbles apparently can remove dirt from between the fur and on the skin. It works through a special shower head that discharges water containing approximately 600,000 tiny air bubbles per cubic centimeter.
Just pick one up for around $6,000 to $7,000 and use with your standard pet bath. Or wait for the price to drop!

This is probably *preaching to the choir* ....
From Sit Stay Speak some tips to keep our pets safe from the summer's scorching heat. The rule of thumb: if you would be uncomfortable in the environment, same (or worse) for animals.
Never leave your pet alone in a parked car. Parked cars are potential death traps for pets during the warm months. Even on a mild day, the temperature inside a car can quickly climb to more than 120°.
Provide adequate shelter for protection from the heat if your pet lives outdoors. Outdoor kennels should be well ventilated and in a shaded area. There should always be an area where your pet can go to get out of the sun.
Make sure that there is plenty of fresh drinking water available. The bowl should ideally be placed in a shaded area. Utilize a spill proof dish or provide a few bowls in case your pet tips one over.
Avoid excessive exercise during hot days. Exercise is important, but over-exertion during hot weather can result in heat stress.
Keep your pet well groomed. Overgrown and matted hair prevents good air circulation with your pet's skin, making it more difficult to maintain a comfortable body temperature.
Be aware of symptoms of heatstroke. Heatstroke is a life-threatening condition that results when pets cannot maintain a normal body temperature. The warning signs of heatstroke include panting, staring or anxious expressions, a refusal to obey commands, warm and dry skin, high body temperature, rapid heartbeat and possibly vomiting. Call your veterinarian immediately if your pet exhibits any of these signs.
