Some types of everyday household glues, such as Gorilla Glue, can be hazardous to the health of our pets and expensive to treat if the container is accidentally punctured by a pet and ingested.
According to Pet Proofing Your House: Part 2 | petMD, swallowed glue expands quickly in the stomach and requires surgical removal. Just one ounce of glue may expand to the size of a basketball. Keep any glue out of reach from your pets and babies.

Check your home for any dried chicken jerky products, intended for dogs, that are imported from China. They may also be sold as tenders, strips or treats and are on alert from the FDA as causing kidney and liver problems.
Our local vet here has one dog in the hospital now being treated after eating Waggin Train (WT) Chicken Kabobs. Signs of toxicity include vomiting, lethargy, and anorexia.

Speaking of bloat, as we were the other day, a major contributing factor is the tendency of the dog to "wolf" down their food. This Dog Maze Food Bowl should slow them down a bit. Just wind their food around the tracks at mealtime and let them solve the puzzle on their own. Comes with a non-skid base and is available in three colors:

Did you know there is an art gallery in New York dedicated exclusively to dog art? William Secord is the world authority on 19th century dog painting, and his gallery of dog art and collectibles, the William Secord Gallery located on Manhattan's upper east side was established in 1990. Mr. Secord is also the founding director of the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog, which was originally established in New York but is now located in St. Louis.

Perhaps your dog is underfoot during meal-time, pushing his/her food bowl around the room and and slopping food and water on the floor around the bowl. This hack can solve that problem.
Take a cheap $8 IKEA Lack Side Table to house your dog's food and water bowls and make sure they stay in one place. Measure the cuts in the top for your bowls, then use a Dremel to cut the holes so that the bowls can be easily placed in and out of the table.
One caveat to keep in mind--raised food bowls may contribute to the serious condition of bloat, or gastric dilation.

A happy and healthy pet drinks plenty of fresh clean water. It is sad to see the stale, warm, bacteria-laden water that pets must drink in pet stores. If they drink it at all, filthy water can actually make them sick.
The FroBo Cooling Pet Bowl provides your pet with a constant reservoir of cool, clean water. The FroBo keeps your pets' water cold and fresh for eight hours or longer. Its non-toxic gel core freezes in two hours and lasts longer than ice.
The bowl is compact and chew-resistant with a slide-proof base. Supplemental FroBo bowls are available so pet owners can have a frozen bowl on-hand at all times. Something to definitely have on hand this summer.

In our house, probably the most exciting thing you can say is "squirrel". Or more accurately, "SQUIRREL!!!" Due to the seed on the ground from the bird feeders in the back yard, we have plenty of them around for fun chasing.
This Doggles Squirrel PentaPulls Dog Toy is a tough tug toy with squeakers in its legs and tail to provide some entertainment once the real squirrels have run away.
