New Optimex Anti-Tear Stain -- Eliminates Pet Under Eye Tear Stains

Many pet owners have shown interest in our past Angel Eyes post due to concern over the the tear stains under the eyes of their dogs and cats.

Along these lines, the New Optimex Anti-Tear Stain is a food additive designed to eliminate your pet's under eye tear stains, as well as the staining around the mouth and feet. How? It reduces the staining by activating your pet's natural immunity against stain-causing bacteria.

Use a tiny scoop of Optimex on your dog or cat's food daily, and the tear stains are expected to vanish naturally in two weeks.

The Optimex formula is made with the highest grade ingredients including Argentine grass fed beef. Veterinarian recommended for a healthy immune system.

Super Bowl XLIII Going to the Dogs

Super Bowl XLIII is going to the dogs according to Dog-Food Ad to Try a New Trick from WSJ.com. The pet food company Pedigree will be advertising on this year's Superbowl TV broadcast, promoting the good cause of pet adoption, rather than its food.

According to WSJ, Pedigree, a Mars company, is the third-largest dog-food brand in the U.S and spends one-half of its marketing budget promoting pet adoption.

Pedigree's commercial, which is being crafted by Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, will show what life would be like if the world didn't have dogs. A string of crazy pets is expected to appear, including an ostrich giving a mailman a hard time. Though the ad won't show dog food, it will feature the Pedigree brand name....

One branding expert thinks the Super Bowl ad will be well received by viewers. "People are looking for security and love," says Eli Portnoy, who heads the brand-strategy firm Portnoy Group. "No one has any trust left. You can't trust your investment banker, you can't trust the government. But you can trust your dog."

We don't want to even think about a world without dogs.

PetScoop: Home Test for Melamine Pet Food Contamination in the Works

Christie Keith at Pet Connection reports that a home testing kit has been developed for the pet food contaminate melamine:

If the FDA won't test food imports for melamine contamination, should we start doing it ourselves?

Joy Drawdy, owner of Gainesville's Earth Pets Natural Pet Market, thinks so, and so she developed a home melamine test kit:

"Pet owners should have a way to test their food at home. People coming into Earth Pets kept saying something like this was needed. I started trying to find one, but none existed," Drawdy said. "In the past year, using my knowledge of pet food manufacturing and contaminant testing, I developed one. I have it patented and it's done. I just need to get it marketed."

Projected availability for this test is late spring 2009.
